Dassel-Cokato Community Theatre’s
Production of LES MISĖRABLES!


Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The world's longest running musical sweeps audiences through an epic tale of broken dreams, passion and redemption, against the backdrop of a nation seething with revolution. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the classic songs I Dreamed a Dream, One Day More, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Do You Hear the People Sing? and many more! 

Minnesota award-winning director, David Metcalf, is the Creative Director for this production. The Instrumental Director is Brian Veith, and Nate Raabe is the Vocal Director. The cast and orchestra are comprised of 50 actors and 23 musicians from the surrounding area. Countless other community members are also assisting with lights, sound, set construction and decoration, ushering and more.

Six performances are scheduled over two weekends: Saturday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24 at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. Performances will be held in the air conditioned, 800-seat, Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center located at the D-C High School.

Reserved seat tickets are $7 for youth (18 and under) and $15 for adults. Tickets may be purchased online at pac.dc.k12.mn.us or in person or by phone through the Dassel-Cokato Community Education office at 320-286-4120. Tickets will also be available at the door, beginning one hour prior to each performance.

This activity is also made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, thanks to legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
